Why Be a Vendor?
Our all-volunteer team is busy behind the scenes making this an event not to be missed! We have been coming up with a lot of options for vendors that make this event unique and a great way for you to reach out to both wholesale and retail customers. Our Friday-only industry-centric educational offerings are shaping up to be truly astonishing with many luminaries of the tea industry such as Dan Robertson, Bruce Richardson, Dan Bolton, Babette Donaldson, Kevin Gascoyne, Donna Fellman and Jeni Dodd supporting us by teaching fascinating classes and sharing their knowledge with our industry attendees. Beyond that, we have some of these same phenomenal people being joined by other equally wonderful tea industry insiders helping us to educate the industry folks as well as consumers who attend the show on Saturday & Sunday.
An educated consumer is one of our big goals at this event. After all, the more education a consumer has on how to choose tea and why they should place a high value on it, the more tea our vendors will sell both at the show and after! And... the more tea every business in the industry stands to sell ultimately, as these educated consumers go home and share their new knowledge with their friends and families.
With our 70+ classes on offer, both industry and consumer sides alike should feel very satisfied with the educational value given by this event.
Now, we just need you to add value for tea shopping!
Our booths are reasonably priced for a 3 day event in a city with a large tea drinking population. In addition to simply being a metropolitan area that is home to 2.7 million consumers, Chicago is home to many cultures that already incorporate tea into their daily lives and we have outreach planned for all of them. We expect to see a minimum of 1200 in attendance but are planning for even more as we feel that this is an extremely conservative estimate. Our social media has been blowing up with interest as has our email newsletter sign up.
Most booths are a comfortable and familiar 10x10 size and come with pipe & drape, tables, table covers, chairs and trashcans. More than one booth may be purchased to form a 10x20 booth and we also have two rooms that make a combined space of 4 booths together! We do also offer smaller booths for smaller businesses with our 9.5x6 spaces which also have tables and chairs included.
If you want to make a huge splash and really get noticed, we have two whole rooms right at the entrance to the main vendor floor that are available to you. Each room is 20x21 and is completely open to the entrance lobby during show hours via the removable curtain wall. Imagine what you could do in here to draw in customers! Create your own tea lounge, show videos on a projection screen, huge standing banner displays, have a U-shaped table set up all around the edge to draw in browsers... So if you already have a complex show set up or want to break into this high profile display area, check out the options for Mansion or Columbia rooms on the application form!
A final option for informational booths or small businesses just starting up who need to get some exposure are our advantageously positioned tables that can be secured for 1, 2 or all 3 days. If you don't feel that you have inventory quite yet to support selling at a 3 day show, this may be a good choice for you.
Our booths are selling out (see pdf at link). Only a few 10x10 left, several 9.5x6. Be sure to get yours before it is too late!
Special Features for Vendors!
One of the exciting features we have to offer you as an vendor is an opportunity to record your very own promo spot! We will pump it out on our social media channels to drive visitors to your booth at the event. But the best part is that you can keep the video and use it in your own promotional materials! This opportunity is bargain basement priced at $40 but the more we have participate, the lower the price drops, so encourage your fellow exhibitors to take advantage of this unique offering.
We have a passport activity planned to encourage visitors to go to each booth (and we will be looking for sponsors for this activity who want to have their product samples or coupons used as prizes!).
A participation-optional People's Choice Tasting Cup competition over the weekend will give you the chance to get more exposure with attendees. Samplings of your entries will be done right at your booth as well as the voting so you can engage directly with potential buyers for your teas.
Lest you think this is all about business, we've also got plans for some ticketed meal events on Friday, so pass your booth off to one of your staff and join us. We will have Breakfast with the Rock Stars of Tea starting at 6:30 am so you can grab some food and socialize a bit with some notables of the industry before you go to the vendor floor at 8:00 am. Our Rock Stars will be speaking briefly during the meal and there will be time for questions! Check out our schedule for more details of the other social events we have planned.
Apply for your booth soon and get the maximum benefit from our buyer/seller connection list! We will be supplying industry attendees with the contact information of each vendor to encourage them to make an appointment with you in our semi-private networking room. (You may opt out of this list if you do not wish to have the opportunity to set appointments in advance)
Don't forget either that we have a beautiful venue in an amazing location, right in the Loop in downtown Chicago. Within easy walking distance to public transportation and restaurants as well as other attractions for when you are not at the festival. We have contracted with the hotel for a special rate of $169/night (if you book by October 8) which is a steal considering the location and the fabulous rooms. (PS - we will discount a ticket to one of our Friday meals by $5 if you email us your confirmation of booking from the hotel!)
